Introduction

The self study guide is meant for consultants who want to get trained on the CXO-Cockpit technology. The guide contains training steps for configuring and maintaining the CXO-Cockpit web application with data coming from Hyperion Financial Management. This training uses a sample data set.

Prerequisites

The scope does not include the installation of the software, because this is normally not a consultant or CXO-Cockpit Captain activity (CXO Solutions or one of its partners usually takes care of that). The CXO-Cockpit software and required 3rd party tools are installed on VM-Ware training drive. Having this training drive is a prerequisite for going through the self study, as well as the following points:

• You have a laptop with a minimum of 2GB of internal memory (otherwise the performance will not be good enough to run the entire training environment which also includes HFM and other 2rd party tools)
• You have a copy of the Training drive on your local or USB drive (we recommend to keep the original drive in tact for demonstrations and trainings for colleagues)
• You have a correct version of the VM Player (3.1.2 or higher) installed on your Host system (usually a laptop).
• Your company has a valid subscription contract or partner contract
• You have a valid License Key (please contact CXO Solutions if you do not have one
